We would have picnics in the park. We went out for dinner almost every night. And, of course, go bowling. Natalie took a seat next to me. "Well, what are you good at?" she asked me.
I had to think for a moment. What am I good at? "Um... Helping people?"
"Okay. Hm.. You could be a counselor?"
"I didn't mean helping people solve problems, Nat."
She thought some more. "Ooh! You could be a hair dresser! Lord knows we need more of those in this town."
"I barley do my own hair," I replied.
"What about a police officer?"
"With my track record with the police? No thanks."
I couldn't believe I was being so picky. Then I saw the job that I want. The job I've always wanted.
"How about a doctor?" I suggested.
"A doctor? Why would you want to be a doctor?"
"Because doctors help people. And doctors helped my mom when she needed it. I want to be able to give someone the help that my mom received."
"Now why would you ask me in here if you already had everything figured out?" I could tell she was annoyed by the tone of her voice.
I just laughed and went over to the computer to send in an online application.
Three days later, I got the job. Having a job meant that I couldn't spend too much time with Dylan. But I still found time to. We would go on picnics sometimes during the day. And go to dinner almost every night. And, of course, we went bowling whenever we could. I found out so much about him. His favorite color is green, his favorite food is Lobster, he loves to work out, his favorite thing to do is go bowling, his father died when he was 3, and his mom is in a facility down in Kansas. I also learned about his ex-Meadow. But he said he finally got over her when he met me. I believe him. Now there's your recap. I told you that not much has happened. Now we're at the good part. I've been looking for houses. Just a small house where we can live... Yes, I said "we." Dylan suggested that we move in together!! I'm beyond excited! I can't wait to take this next step in out relationship. It's a huge step to take, but I know that were ready. Although moving away from Natalie will be hard. I told her about it this morning.
"Hey, Nat, I have to tell you something," I said as I sat her down.
"Sure, what is it?"
"Well.. Dylan asked me to move in with him," I said softly, hoping she wouldn't be sad or mad or any other kind of emotion that wasn't happy.
"Beth! That's amazing! Wait, you said yes, right?"
I laughed, "Of course I said yes. But it means that we can't live together anymore."
"I know what it means, and it's fine. You took up too much space anyway," she winked, "Seriously, though, Beth. I'm so happy for you. For both of you."
"Thank you." I smiled as I hugged her. I was so glad she was understanding.
The hard part about living with Dylan is finding a house. Some are too big, too small, or just not my style. I thought finding a house would be easier than this. Go online, find a house, move into the house... I guess nothing is ever that easy. I almost gave up until my eyes met the perfect house. Our house.

xoxo, Bethany
